All Things Babysitters: Part II

Part II: Setting realistic expectations and what to do when things don’t go as planned

Babysitters are the lifeline of a Mother’s sanity. But let’s be honest, there are several tiers of babysitters. In the first part of this two-part episode, we discussed the many roles a babysitter can fill. In today’s episode, Vanessa and Leah break down what happens when things don’t go quite as planned, how to get past the awkwardness of the pay conversation, and what you can realistically expect when you invite someone into your home.

Hiring babysitters is all about allowing yourself to be a better mother! Whether you returned to a tornado of a house or your (likely well paid) sitter made it possible for you to come home and slip straight into bed, you’ve got to ask yourself two questions: 1. Is everyone alive and happy 2. Was it worth it.

We’re continuing the conversation on our #momforce by Chatbooks Facebook page, where we’ll be chatting about older sibling babysitters! Listen to the episode, and join us there!
